The book / magazine QUERY # 2 on “The Jews”, was published in London in the late 1940s, each booklet devoted to a different subject, before us the rare booklet devoted to world Jewry.
The magazine called itself: “QUERY IS A CROSS BETWEEN A BOOK AND A MAGAZINE WITH THE ADVANTAGES OF BOTH” – and Indeed, it was printed on fine paper, discussing in depth the subject of world Jewry with the best writers of the time. Each section discusses a global issue in all its aspects. The volume before us deals with world Jewry, accompanied by dozens of photographs of pre-Holocaust European Jewry, European Jewry during the Holocaust, ‘The Wandering Jew’, anti-Semitism, the Jewish settlement in Palestine, She’erit HaPleita, and more.
