Postcards include: Moses Receiving the Torah at Sinai; a 1908 Shanah Tovah postcard featuring a sports team and New Year greetings in French and Hebrew; a postcard with an illustration of an antique-style panorama of Jerusalem; a clown playing guitar – New Year greetings in Hebrew and German (sent by mail in 1906); greetings combined with illustrations of the hills of Israel and musical instruments – with a handwritten Yiddish message on the back (sent by mail in 1917); illustrated postcard – an eagle with spread wings over the Temple Mount and a rising sun, in a Rosenfeld design – sent in 1906; a postcard featuring Hirschenberg’s famous illustration Galut (Exile); Torah Dedication – Raphael Tuck; a postcard with the greeting “For the Holy Day of Rosh Hashanah” in Hebrew, centered within an illustrated Ark; The Cake Walk – a Shanah Tovah dancing scene; and a Shanah Tovah postcard with a raised illustration of Father Time – the symbolic Western figure typically portrayed as an elderly man with a long white beard, representing the passage of time and the transition between years (sent by mail in 1908).
