Lodzia Real Estate Ltd. is a public Israeli company, a pioneer in the textile industry in the Land of Israel. The company was founded in 1924, in a building at 43 Nahmani Street in Tel Aviv, under the name “Lodzia Textile Company Ltd.” by a group of entrepreneurs originally from the city of Łódź, Poland (hence the name Lodzia): Moshe Berlinski, Benjamin Gutter, Yitzhak Shinfarber, Elazar Brown, Meir Danziger, and Yehuda Moses. In 1925, the factory was acquired by Aryeh Shenkar, who turned it into a successful enterprise. In 1936, the factory was relocated to the “Agrobank” neighborhood (later one of the neighborhoods of Holon) and became one of the prominent factories in the Land of Israel during the Mandate period. Its products were shipped to Asia and Europe.
