Large leaf illustrated in handwriting – “The angels will … keep this child who was born to Rabbi Yisrael Yehuda on the fifth day of the Sabbath, three days in the month of Tammuz, the year התרמ”א will live many days and years… Amem Ken Yehi Ratzon”. Near East, 1881.

Handwritten “Shmira L’Yeled” (protection for a child), specially designed for a child born on the 3rd of Tammuz 1881 – the son of Israel Yauda – in the center is painted of ‘lamenazeach menora’, above the verses of Shema Yisrael (That being said on the night of brit), the names of the guardian angels in medallions In purple with a Star of David, and the names of the fathers and mothers in beautiful writing. The verses which is customary to say night of the brit were printed all around (the ‘Wachnacht’ in the Ashkenazi congregations, and the ‘Brit Yitzchak’ in the Sephardic congregations):’הנה מטתו שלשלמה…’, ‘יברכך ה’ וישמרך’, ‘חנה מלאך ה’ סביב ליראיו…’. ‘. On the back is a dedication and a seal ‘Va’ad Kolelut Yassina city.’
