Silver Tower of Spicebox with Dedication. Six-Sided Tower with Flag and Six Pomegranates. England, Early 20th Century.
The tower, made of silver and drilled with six sides, features a flag at the top and six pomegranates along its edges. It is signed with English silver hallmarks (on the top flag, the window, and at the base). The walls of the tower are decorated with engraved leaf patterns. The base is round. An interesting dedication is engraved on the base from the members of the St. Albans community: “Presented by the St. albans Hebrew congregation to H. Levy for Valuable services rendered”. (St. Albans is a city in Hertfordshire, England, located about 30 km north-northwest of central London).
