10 rare anti-Nazi postcards issued in America during the war, published by “Slam the AXIS”, and others, New York 1942-1943.
The postcards feature illustrations and mocking statements against Hitler and the Axis powers, some incorporate caricatures of Uncle Sam abusing Hitler and his political partners, the Nazi defeat postcard “It won’t be long now!”, the Ready for the dumps postcard – Hitler and his Axis partners in trash cans ready to be moved to the dump, the celebration day – Hitler hanging on a rope, and others.
Allied forces produced and distributed anti-Nazi postcards as part of psychological warfare campaigns against the Axis countries. These were often dropped from airplanes over occupied territories or mailed by other covert means.
