Villach mit Karawanken - Postcard of the southern Alps region on the Austria-Slovenia border - A private invitation with a photomontage work featuring an illustration of a sun shaped crucifix in the upper left corner denoting Austria's conquest by the Nazis in March 1938 (the Anschluss). Published by Theodor Strein 1908.

Rare. The landscape postcard "Villach mit Karawanken" was a common postcard in the 1920s and 1930s, but we have not seen another example of this postcard with the swastika.

9x14 cm. Paint peels in the upper part and on the right. Stains. Moderate condition.
