Obóz zagłady w Chełmnie nad Nerem – The Death Camp in Chelmno (Vernichtungslager Kulmhof) by Władysław Bednarz, published by the “State Institute”, Warsaw 1946 – first edition. Accompanied by rare photographs documenting the deportation of the Jews to Chelmno, and harsh sights from the camp, as well as an aerial map of the camp.

An early report about the crimes of the Nazis in the first extermination camp it established – the Chelmno camp, in western Poland, by Judge Władysław Bednerz according to the testimonies of former prisoners who were before him in the investigation he carried out after the war on behalf of the main commission to investigate German crimes in Poland. Władysław verified the evidence with documents and with other evidence, he cross-examined information, using other factors in order to present a detailed picture of the Nazi crimes in Chelmno, all this against a dim reality since the Germans completely destroyed the camp before they escaped, and the number of survivors from the camp is extremely small.

Chelmno was the first camp where the extermination of Jews and other nationalities was carried out using gas trucks, it was the first camp where the extermination was carried out in a a permanent place, and the first camp where the bodies of the murdered were burned. The Chelmno extermination camp operated from December 1941 until its liquidation on January 18, 1945. In the book, the author documents in detail the terrible atrocities that took place in the camp. From the earliest publications about the extermination camp Chelmno.
