The weekly was published for many years (between 1840-1935) and alongside the Jewish issues that were at the center of the Jewish community’s life, it dealt extensively with the phenomenon of anti-Semitism which increased greatly in the midst of the Dreyfus affair and the appearance of the voices of “France to the French”, both of individual antisemitic cases and in extensive anti-Semitic cases and large-scale pogroms in France and Europe, and in an attempt to analyze and prevent the phenomenon.
