Hitler gave the speech at the German Reichstag and then went out to the balcony to address the waiting crowd outside. In his speech Hitler attacked the Treaty of Versailles, on that same day during Hitler’s speech, Nazi Germany introduced military forces into the Rhineland region in violation of the Treaties of Versailles and Locarno, towards the creation of the Rome-Berlin dictatorial axis. An action Hitler defined in his speech as the beginning of a new era.
