“Handbuch der Judenfrage: Eine Zusammenstellung das wichtigsten Tatsachen zur Beurteilung des jüdischen Volkes” – “The Guide to the Jewish Question – a collection of the most important facts for evaluating the Jewish people” by Theodor Fritsch. Hamburg, 1919. German.
“Jews in Eastern Europe live solely under the rule of the Talmud and feel no connection to the country in which they live… and view their fellow citizens as impure creatures” – An anti-Semitic guide based on ancient beliefs that contributed significantly to the persecution of Jews in Europe.

The venomous work of the antisemitic propagandist Theodor Fritsch, in which he outlines the principles of racial theory and warns of the “Jewish danger” of global domination, attempting by every possible means to convince the reader that “the Jews are the disaster for all” in Europe and the entire world. The cover design was intended to illustrate this message: the Jewish serpent encircles the globe. Throughout the pages of the book, Fritsch tries to present Jew-hatred as a logical conclusion based on biological fact, rather than the result of subjective opinions and worldviews. The book had several editions, with each new edition including the author’s “updates” to the antisemitic claims in line with current global political and social developments. In this edition, the author expands on the role of the Jews in the Russian Revolution of 1917–1919, blaming the Jews for having “managed to destroy Russian industry within a year… Almost everything called a workers’ and soldiers’ council was made up of Jews… The result of a year and a half of unlimited Jewish rule over a vast empire is its destruction down to the foundations… The western and southern provinces of Russia are full of Jews who have taken complete control of trade at the expense of the rest of the population. The Jewish merchant deals in everything. There is no commodity he does not buy, no transaction that promises even the slightest profit he does not undertake. Today he trades in grain, tomorrow in milk; the day after, he moves on to lumber or lends money at high rates…”. The author further accuses the Jews of taking over the German economy through Jewish lawyers. He claims that the Jews have copied their takeover model from Russia to Germany. He also asserts that in Poland there is no field of occupation not dominated by Jews, and that in every field the Jew serves as a middleman, extracting high profit from both sides between whom he mediates. The entire book is written in a caustic tone, aimed at leading the reader to envision the Jew as the source of all evil in the world, with the author repeatedly emphasizing the idea of “the Jewish character” as something immutable and as the source of civilization’s destruction, and more.

In this edition, the author repeatedly apologizes for not having been able to provide certain details about the Jews in earlier editions; however, he now claims to possess complete lists of the “Jewish rulers” in countries around the world, and presents these lists here. At the end of the book appears an extensive bibliography of antisemitic writings. This work is considered one of the most dangerous and extreme antisemitic publications ever written.

Fritsch, a German publisher and journalist, authored several antisemitic books that became foundational texts of the Nazi Party and played a major role in shaping early 20th-century German society in the spirit of Jew-hatred. He directly contributed to the persecution of European Jewry. On the political front, Fritsch worked to unite all antisemitic parties in Germany into a single front, and in 1912 he founded the Reichshammerbund as a collective antisemitic movement. In the general elections of May 1924, Fritsch was elected as a member of the National Socialist Freedom Movement—a party formed in alliance with the DFVP by the Nazis as a legal electoral vehicle after the Nazi Party had been banned.
