Illustrative Boards depicting the cities of Eretz Israel and its landscapes – Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley, Tiberias, Jericho, and many more, as well as many illustrations of local inhabitants in their traditional dress – all in color and with wide margins. The illustrations in the book were taken from the original illustrations made in watercolor and displayed in London in 1902, and were approved to appear in the book by the illustrator himself.
At the beginning of the 20th century, these were considered the most beautiful illustrations made of the period, and the leading English postcards of Raphael Tuck & Sons even published them in a special series of postcards.
