Heidenmission und Nationalsozialismus – “The Holy Mission and National Socialism” – An Antisemitic Publication Claiming that Nazism Fulfills the Role of “Jew-Hatred” Better than Historical Christianity, by Walter Braun, Published by Heimatsdienst-Verlag, Berlin, 1932 – First Edition.
An antisemitic publication discussing the role of Christianity with the rise of Nazism. The author point a picture where Nazism assumes the role of the Christian vision in hating Jews because it aspires to racial purity, something that Christianity neither claimed nor acted upon over the years, asserting that the supreme goal of Nazism is the purity of blood: “Adolf Hitler’s main concern is the preservation and purification of the race… German blood and Jewish blood meet with insurmountable resistance… and ‘bastardy’ is the most abhorrent thing… that is, Jewish fervor and Jewish wrath, considered models of inferiority and bastardy, are contaminating. German culture… must ensure that the blood remains pure to give these creatures the possibility of a nobler development by preserving the best of humanity…”.
The author preaches that the time has come for racial consciousness to take the place of religious faith among the German people: “We can only wish with all our hearts that racial consciousness will awaken in our people and that they will never sink to the level of bastards… A people like ours, which has already absorbed so much Nordic blood with other blood, aspires to racial purity, and it is only desirable – more responsibility for the generation to come after us so that they will not be worse… Precisely because of our experience in a mission to nations with mixed peoples, we cannot say it clearly enough: we want to protect ourselves from mixing and advocate for racial purity… We are one people… first of all our own people, and only then other peoples…”.
The publication also mentions that the price of racial mixing has personal side effects in addition to the consequences for the entire race. It adds that the awakening of millions to the Nazi ideal proves that it is more suitable for the German people than historical Christianity, and more.
