Real photo postcard showing the rabbis of the city of Mogador in Morocco on their way to bless the Sultan of Morocco, wearing a djellaba (traditional Moroccan costume – wide dress), belt, and bournous (a long cloak of coarse woolen fabric). Members of the Jewish community are seen behind them. Flandrin Publishing, Casablanca. early 20th century.

Photographed Rabbis: Rabbi Shlomo Benishti, Rabbi Avraham Ben Shoshan, Rabbi David Kanfo (1863-1937 rabbi of the Mogador public synagogue. Appointed as a judge in the year 1915 and the head of a court of the city of Mogadur from 1925 until the day of his death. Died on Yom Kippur in the midst of the prayer of Kol Nidrey. The magnitude of his admiration for many years after the passing, the Jews of Mogador was sworn in his name), Rabbi Avraham Aboxis, and Rabbi Moshe Bensmiah.
