The beginning of the Tze’irei Zion activity in Lodz lies in the Histadrut Tzionim Tze’irim (1900 – 1905), which contained various Zionist associations and placed all its activities on practical Zionist work and the study of the Hebrew language. The Histadrut, evening classes were held to teach the Hebrew language and general subjects. Most of the teachers volunteered. It was in fact a general Zionist youth association. The Lodz “young Zionists” lacked a certain program, but more than other citys, socialist thought fermented among these youth.
