Two Albumen print photographs – Jaffa during working hour and Ramla – a landscape view, by the Zangaki brothers – both Signed in the plate – “Zangaki” 80s-90s of the 19th century.
The brothers Adelphi and Konstantin Zangaki, photographers of Greek descent, were active in the East in the 1880s and 1890s. The two took hundreds of photographs, of which very few survived. Most of the photographs they took focused on cities and sites visited by the pilgrims.
