The Rockefeller Museum of Archeology was the only cultural structure built by the British Mandate Government in the country (funded by an American donor) and its structure is considered one of the most beautiful in Jerusalem. It was the only institution among the government institutions that had in its hands a building worthy of the name and a generous budget for day-to-day activities. With the establishment of the Mandate rule and the intensification of scientific research in the Land of Israel, archaeological finds began to pile up in the offices of the Department of Antiquities of the British Mandate Government. A detailed plan for the Museum of Research and Logistics Center in Jerusalem was submitted in 1924. The cornerstone was laid on June 19, 1930, in the presence of High Commissioner Sir John Chancellor. The construction was carried out in collaboration with the engineer Yehuda Shapira and lasted five years, and on May 20, 1935, the Department of Antiquities moved to the new building. Later in the year, antiquities were collected for the opening of the museum, which was planned for the spring of 1936. The museum was opened to the public on January 13, 1938 and was named the Palestine Archaeological Museum of Palestine.

The brochures are bound in a string for tying (original), tears in the spine. general condition good.
