Oswiecim: Malarstwo, Rzeźba, Grafika – Auschwitz: Painting, Sculpture, Graphics By Jerzy Domański (ed.), published by Wydawnictwo Artystyczno, Krakow 1959 – First edition, limited to 10,000 copies. A black-and-white photo album documenting the horrors of Auschwitz. Featuring drawings, graphic designs, sculptures, and illustrations created by a large group of concentration camp survivors, including: Mieczysław Berman, Syrena Obozowa, Ksawery Dunikowski, Teresa Stankiewicz, Mieczysław Kościelniak, Maria Spanards-Neuman, Buda Ogrorzenia, Hanna Wattczyk, Julian Studlawnicki, Jerzy Tymcik, Adam Branhuber, and others. The album closes with an epilogue by Seweryna Szmaglewska, Auschwitz survivor and witness at the Nuremberg Trials. Here, she recounts her experience as a prisoner from the day she arrived at Auschwitz, describing in detail the camp’s most horrific period—the time of the mass killings. 78 pages (64 pages of images).
