Three rare “Shana Tova” postcards sent from Milan to members of a Jewish family in Libya on the eve of Rosh Hashanah – September 28, 1947.
On the front, attractive color illustrations of children’s scenes. On the verso, sender details. The postcards were sent to the Barda family – a Jewish family in Tripoli – each postcard addressed to a different child: Rafael, Nissim, and Ines, at their address Rue Renghet el Haouri 13, Tripoli (Libya). With a short holiday greeting in Italian. On the verso of all three appears an ink stamp “PARADISO ZARA”.
