Double-Sided Poster Calling for the Complete Annihilation of the Nazi Enemy, for Their Expulsion from French Soil and Retribution for Their Crimes. “Chantez, Français!” – “Sing, Frenchmen!” – “Honneur aux F.F.I et à nos Alliés” – “Honor to the F.F.I (French Forces of the Interior) and Our Allies.” Internal Publication of the French Resistance Movements Against German Occupation, Assisting in the Liberation of France. France, [1944].

At the center of the poster is a boot kicking the Germans out of French territory, reflected on a map in the background, with the inscription: “Nach Berlin!” – “To Berlin!” On the right side appears “7 Grands Succès” – “The Seven Great Hits, ” referring to the songs printed on the reverse of the poster.

On the reverse side, seven songs are printed to boost motivation among French resistance fighters, calling for vengeance against the Nazis:

“May impure blood water our furrows… Under our flag, to victory we march…”

A memorial song for fallen soldiers: “All our soldiers without uniforms did not return home… They proved themselves heroes and fell for the flag, they will be written into history and their names will be revered…”

A defiant song against the Nazis: “Let them die, yes, yes, yes! Let them die, to hell, let them die like real pigs. In our cities and villages, they spread blood and fire… Our brave allies drove them out of France…”

A mocking farewell song aimed at Hitler, Goebbels, and Göring: “All of these people disgust me.”

“The Death of Shame, ” condemning the Gestapo: “They murdered our children and must be hung on the gallows.”

A satirical song mocking Hitler: “Adolf Hitler in the Bathroom.”

At the time, this harsh tone was directed not only at the Nazis but also at local collaborators, sending a clear message that France would not rest until it was liberated and had settled accounts with both the foreign and domestic enemies.
