1. Ambassador Henderson’s Reports on Hitler, Göring, Ribbentrop – Final Report Following the Conclusion of Neville Henderson’s Mission in Berlin 1939 – London, 1940 – First German Edition. The final report of Sir Neville Henderson regarding his mission to Berlin, dated September 20, 1939. This detailed report reviews the circumstances that led Germany to become a totalitarian state under Hitler’s sole rule. It also provides a detailed explanation of how the Nazi propaganda machine operated at its peak, with a significant focus on Goebbels’ role in inciting the masses to antisemitism and absolute submission to the Führer’s commands. The report includes in-depth explanations of Hitler’s deceptive methods, as personally witnessed by the author during his mission in Germany.

2. Documents on the Treatment of German Citizens in Germany. A Report of Testimonies on Nazi Crimes in Germany. London, 1940 – First German Edition. An early report containing harsh and detailed testimonies about the Nazis’ brutal actions in German cities and concentration camps during the 1930s. These documents were submitted by the Foreign Office to His Majesty’s Parliament. The descriptions presented offer the first exposure to Nazi crimes, revealing the extent of Nazi cruelty even before the outbreak of World War II. The report consists of 36 pages, which are extremely difficult to read due to the graphic nature of the content. London, 1939.

After the British were accused by Nazi media and press of committing atrocities in South Africa, His Majesty’s Government saw fit to release to the public the harsh testimonies in its possession regarding Nazi crimes against civilians, primarily Jews, within Germany. The report reveals the first concentration camps established in Germany as early as 1933 against opponents of the Nazi regime and the daily tortures endured by prisoners of various nationalities, especially Jews. ‘The British government declares that the decision to publish the classified documents contained in this report was made after Britain concluded that there was not even the slightest chance of reaching any understanding with the German government.’ The spokesperson added that Nazi Germany’s venomous propaganda and its abuse of minorities within its territory must be brought to the attention of world public opinion and made known that this period is the darkest in human history (the statement was made in 1939, before the systematic mass murder in death camps). The testimonies revealed in this report were made public for the first time and had not been previously published in the press or any other media.

Among the cases revealed in the report: Detailed descriptions of what occurred in the Buchenwald death camp, as recounted by prisoners who were detained there, including testimony from a Jewish detainee who was in the camp for six weeks. He describes the forced labor where he worked 16 hours a day every day of the week, the prohibition on drinking water during all those hours, even in the hottest weather, and how prisoners were made to carry bricks so heavy that a person could not bear them. Nazi officers mocked the Jews by saying that Pharaoh did not make them work hard enough in Egypt, and now they were completing the job… A prisoner caught drinking water during the day was immediately whipped with 25 lashes… A small faucet was available for 480 men to wash for just 15 minutes… No Jewish prisoner was ever released from the camp… The filth and mud in the camp, the harsh conditions in the barracks, the thin clothes given to Jews in the severe cold (without underwear), the Jews who chose to end their lives, the medical experiments conducted on human beings, the camp rule that no prisoner should be released with signs of beatings on his body, and how the Nazis ensured such marks were left on all prisoners, giving them an excuse not to release them, and more.

The report also describes: Arrests made in the streets of Berlin of innocent Jewish passersby without any reason, arbitrary SS raids on Jewish homes, mass arrests and arbitrary torture following the assassination of General von Fritsch, an anonymous letter written by a German priest addressed to British leaders urging them to act against the Nazi regime, which aimed to erase all Christian symbols from German history [“In the heart of Europe, a generation is being raised on hatred of Christianity, ancient traditions thousands of years old are about to disappear under the influence of the National Socialist Party”], and more.

44 pages. Soft cover. Light stains on the cover. Pencil underlining in the margins of several paragraphs. Good condition.
