Two Passover cups – Bohemian glass in ruby-red hue, with the word “Pesach” embossed in gold letters (on one cup the inscription is partially worn). 20th century.

This high-quality glass was first produced in the Bohemia region, now part of the Czech Republic. Glassmaking in this area began as early as the 13th century and reached its peak in the 17th–19th centuries, when Bohemia became a world center for the production of luxury glass. The glass is handmade, often by glassblowing, giving it a distinctive luster. During the 19th and 20th centuries, and especially in Central Europe (including Bohemia and Germany), Judaica items were produced from Bohemian glass due to the renowned quality and prestige of the local craftsmanship.

Identical dimensions: Diameter: 5 cm. Height: 7.5 cm. Minor blemishes. Good condition.
