A letter sent by Avraham Yehezkel detailing family news: “The elder (the Egyptian) gave birth to a daughter, Hannah (Aziza) married Nissim Shalom.” Sent from the Porat Yosef Synagogue in Shanghai to the Old City of Jerusalem. Ink stamp of the censor in Palestine. October 6, 1944.
A letter sent by Binyamin Weinhaus from Jerusalem to his brother Weinhaus Ashkenazi, who was at the time in Shanghai on Cardinal Mercier Street: “Dearest brother, glad that you received the news that we are well. Many greetings from Shoshana, Sorala, and everyone. Awaiting further correspondence.” Ink stamp of the censor in Palestine. February 26, 1943.
