The author is from the sages of Safed and Jerusalem and the sages of the Beit El Yeshiva, a disciple of Rabbi Yom Tov Algazi, Rabbi Avraham Shalom Mizrahi The Ros’h (grandson of the Rasha”sh), the Rosh Yeshiva. Sent on behalf of the Jerusalem and Hebron community several times to Damascus together with his rabbi to save Minister Rabbi Chaim Farhi (in 1821). Author of the books “Matok Lenefesh”, “Marpeh lenefesh” and more. The author is among the signatories on the letter from the rabbis of Jerusalem against the Assembly of Reforms in Brunswick.
