Zachor leavraham’ to mark the 100th anniversary of the departure of Maran Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer, published by the Ohel Shimon Yeshiva of Arloi, Jerusalem 1972. On the leaf of the Prozah is a dedication in the handwriting and signature of the Admor Rabbi Yohanan Sofer of Arloi.
The Admor Rabbi Yochanan Sofer [1923-2016] Av Beit Din and Admor of Arloi, ‘the elder of the Admorim’ Rosh Yeshiva of the Ohel Shimon of Arloi, a remnant of the lineage of the great Sofer family [fifth generation] , Son of Rabbi Moshe Sofer Av Beit Din of Arloi author of Responsa Yad Sofer, son of Gaon Ba’al Hitorerut teshuva The son of Baal Ketav Sofer, who was saved from the Holocaust of Hungarian Jewry, immigrated to Eretz Israel and was a close to Rabbi Aharon of Belz. Served for many years as a member of the Presidium of Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah, he set up magnificent Torah and Yeshiva institutions, Author of ‘Imrei Sofer’ on the Talmud.
