Issue of the illustrated antisemitic magazine Kladderadatsch [a humorous word meaning nonsense], Berlin, January 12, 1939.

Poems and stories in praise of a united Germany, a caricature accompanied by an antisemitic poem - two tigers discussing how to get rid of the Jews, a poem "Remember that you are German the day will come and revenge will come", a comic story mocking the British-Jewish connection, a caricature against Stalin, and more.

Kladderadatsch is a satirical magazine in the German language founded by Albert Hofmann and David Kalisch, which began in Berlin on May 7, 1848, and appeared "every day, except weekdays". It was published continuously until 1944 and was considered one of the highest quality magazines in terms of color graphics, published in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Originally, Kladderadatsch was a liberal magazine, but it became more nationalistic over the years. During the Weimar period, the magazine's stance was German-nationalist. After the takeover by industrialist Hugo Stinnes in 1923, the magazine was controlled by the Nazi party and its content became more and more antisemitic.
