Scout diary from Eretz Israel - published by the Young Judea Affairs Committee of the Hebrew Scouts Association in Eretz Israel - a rare booklet printed in stencil, documenting the activities of the youth in the Scout movement in Eretz Israel. 1943. Inspiring documentation of a special event with the participation of young people from all over the country that took place on Mount Gilboa in solidarity with the fate of the children of Israel in Europe under Nazi occupation - "The Children of Palestine remember their unfortunate comrades in the Ghettoes of Europe". English.

At the beginning of the booklet, is documented a special event that took place for the benefit of the children of Israel in Europe under Nazi occupation. The young people came to Mount Gilboa - the place where David mourned the death of Jonathan. The children heard from the guides harsh descriptions of what was happening to the children of Israel in Europe and shed tears. They then climbed Mount Gilboa. At the top stood a large rock that was covered with a yellow cloth - a symbol of the badge of shame that the Jews were forced to wear in European countries. The children recited "Yizkor" around the rock and read the text: "We, the children of the valleys of Eretz Israel, met here on Mount Gilboa to express our solidarity with the Jewish children at the mercy of the Nazi murderers... As we stand here... we solemnly raise our hands and swear this oath: 'Jewish children under Nazi rule, we will not forget you!... We will always be ready to welcome you and share our food and clothing with you, our home is your home'. Later in the ceremony, the children removed the Star of David from the yellow cloth and moved it and placed it on a blue and white background, and then turned to the children of the free countries with a call: "To Jewish children in free countries... Ask your parents and the governments of the countries in which you live to protect our brothers and sisters... Open the gates of your countries to those seeking refuge within you. Accept the orphaned children as brothers and sisters, and keep them safe until victory is achieved and our Jewish homeland is able to provide a home for our people...". Afterwards, the yellow cloth was removed from the rock and underneath it were revealed names of children who were murdered by the Nazis. The ceremony ended with the children's decision to help the children of Israel in Europe as much as they could, and with a monetary donation for their benefit.

Later in the booklet is a quiz about the Jewish population in Europe, the story "Our Farm", life in Eretz Israel, "From Our Diary" - from the diary of the Scout movement about the difficulties in establishing new settlements in Eretz Israel, about the stages in the establishment of the Pardes Hanna settlement during 1942, a four-scene play - a play about the life in Eretz Israel, letters from the Chief Scout of the Hebrew Scouts in Eretz Israel about the principles of the movement, its goals, and its vision, games of Eretz Israel, Scout news (including a report on the children of Tehran who arrived in the country), and more.
