Two large group photographs in the center are Golda Meir and Moshe Sharet. Apparently photographed while Moshe Sharet served as prime minister, and Golda Meir as minister of labor in his government in 1955-1956. Photographer: Hans Haim Finn [photographer's ink stamp on the back].

Press photographer Hans Haim Finn [1916-1978] one of the pioneers of photojournalism in Israel. Filmed for close to forty years for AP agencies and newspapers. His photographs are characterized by a wide field of view of the events he has documented. Finn was born in the fall of 1916 in Berlin. He studied photo montage with John Hartfield and saw himself as the spiritual student of Erich Salomon, the father of journalism photo. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1938. After his release from the British army during World War II, he began to do news photography. He documented prominent chapters in the history of the Yishuv's struggle against British rule, the immigration of illegal immigrants, as well as important events that he attended thanks to a mandatory photojournalist certificate. Of his most prominent photographs: "Altelana" goes up in flames near the coast of Tel Aviv (historical photograph showing the tragedy as life continues to flow as usual. A man sits on the bench facing the sea and reads a newspaper, and people watch the burning ship, helpless, and continue on their own), November 29 - A rare photograph depicting the excitement and joy in the Magen David Square in Tel Aviv immediately after the results of the vote were announced, The State Declaration - a photograph expressing the power of the state class, in which the presidential table was fully immortalized to all its Participants, and most members of the People's Council, as far as the lens was concerned, sat on the stage of honor. Hans Finn was allowed to film the event for a few moments although he was not invited as the official photographer. He stood in front of the front door and filmed the incident with the flash, which caused a great deal of embarrassment in the hall.

At the year of 1982-1984, an exhibition of his works, "Photographer and his Period", was first exhibited at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and later as a traveling exhibition as part of "Art for the People".

Same size: 24x11 cm. Very good condition.
