Ragots, bobards et racontars - "Rumors, Lies, and Gossip" - The Jewish takeover of France - Antisemitic caricatures by the illustrator Jean Chaperon. Published by G. Mazeyrie. Paris, 1940.

A story in five acts (12 pages) describing how the Jews take over France financially and politically while the loyal French soldiers go out to battle to defend their country. The Jews are depicted with stereotypical faces - long noses and a devilish smile, holding bags of money to realize the Jewish plot to exploit the French state. In order to highlight the antisemitic message, the illustrator uses contrasts throughout the story - the French soldiers on the one hand are willing to sacrifice themselves for the supreme goal of defending their country - and the Jews on the other hand, completely uncaring, are happy to exploit the country's crisis for their personal benefit.

[12] p. (Opening chain booklet). Good condition.
