Sidur Olat Tamid, Book of prayers for Israelitish congregations. New York, [1872]. Reform text. Most of the text is in English only, edited by Rabbi David Einhorn. First English edition. Many proofs and corrections in pencil.

The first editions of this Sidur, edited by David Einhorn, came out with a German translation. This is the first edition with an English translation. In the copy before us there are dozens of handwritten proofreadings, underlinings, erasures, and many comments referring to wording changes. According to the provenance, the glosses may have been made by the philosopher and Reform Rabbi Shmuel Hirsch [1815-1889] who was the successor of Rabbi David Einhorn in the leadership of the radical Reform community "Knesset Israel" in the United States.

VI, 394 p. 19 cm. Gilt leaf cutting. Not bound. A missing tear on the right part of the title page with no damage to the text. The body of the book is in good condition.
