The Eichmann Trial and the Jews of Bulgaria - Important Publication on Adolf Eichmann and His Role in the Destruction of the Jews of Bulgaria by Joseph Ben, Published by the Institute for Holocaust Research and Education named after A. Pardo - Published "On the Eve of the tyrant's appeal" - During the trial itself held in Jerusalem ahead of the verdict. Israel, 1961.

In the introduction to the booklet, the author writes: "... I did not particularly want to compose this booklet... Since the trial of the enemy began in Jerusalem, the question of the Jews of Bulgaria and their rescue also arose, and in the aftermath it took the form of a polemic - at times quite sharp, among Bulgarian expatriates around the question: who saved us?.... For a long time my friends have been urging me to publish material on the saving of the Jews of Bulgaria. But the truth is that even we who usually claim to know most of the facts were surprised in the months of the trial judging the actions of the Chief Butcher... by revelations of important details that shed further light on what also occurred in Bulgaria in the fateful years of 1941-1944..."

The author provides previously unknown details about the Holocaust of the Jews of Bulgaria, the deportation of Jews to the east, the forced labor of Jews in Bulgaria, the deportation of Jews from Sofia, previously unknown details about the concentration camp established in Somovit, the "spontaneous" pogroms, the Jews and the partisan movement, and more. In the chapter "Bulgarian Jewry's rescue factors" the author presents a statement by Vitali Khaimov, who was chairman of the Zionist organization in Bulgaria after liberation, in which he details the factors that actually saved Jews during the occupation. In the second part of the booklet "Packet of Documents" - secret documents of the Nazis' orders regarding the deportation of the Jews of Bulgaria and employing Jews in forced labor. These documents provide precise numbers of Jews deported from various cities to camps, as well as the Bulgarian government's response to the deportations.
