Album of a German Wehrmacht soldier containing 60 photographs showing Wehrmacht soldiers in a training camp, in various parades - in a special parade on the occasion of the Führer's birthday, in training and operational activity in preparation for going to war. On the page closing the album there are three photographs, one showing two SS soldiers with a cruel look, on the right and left photographs of SS soldiers guarding Jewish forced laborers. These photographs are described in the sentence: "wir fahren nach Polen, um Juden zu versohlen" - "We are going to Poland to beat the Jews". Also, alongside photographs of Wehrmacht soldiers' military parades appear the expressions "Heil Hitler" and - "Sieg Heil" - hail victory.

It is widely recognized that the phrase "wir fahren nach Polen, um Juden zu versohlen" was prominently displayed on the train cars carrying German soldiers towards the invasion of Poland - a clear manifestation of the malicious aims and brutal deeds of the Nazi regime in World War II, whose ultimate objective was the annihilation of the Jews.

Album: 30x21 cm. Photographs: 9x14 cm. and 9x6 cm. Overall very good condition.
