The Declaration of State Establishment - 21 Tables on the Declaration of Independence by David Tertkover. Modan, 1988.
"When you say 'Jewish state', you define ownership and you define belonging. But you do not know whether the Jews belong to the State of Israel, or whether the State belongs to the Jewish people ... David Tertkover does not try to answer a question in historiography ... What he does, in fact, is a comparative record: a statement against occurrence. Proclamation versus Reality. Definition versus event. Wishfulness in front of the surface, recommends against fact '. (From the introduction to the book by Amos Keynan). The book has 21 boards in Tartakover's design that actually lead the 19 paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence in creating a deep visual montage. Also, a number of different articles are written about the roots of the Declaration of Independence.
Attached are three boards in a postcard format published by 'Zalmania' (new). One depicts the first Independence Day celebrations, a photograph showing the staff of photographers awaiting state declaration, boys from the Magdiel group forming a Star of David in 1946. Three of them according to Rudy Weisenstein's photographs.
