A Leaf hung in the Pisa synagogue announcing the order and the activities in the synagogue. Sebastiano Nistri print, Pisa 1822. Italian and Hebrew.

An unusual the leaf was made by the printmaker Sebastiano Nistri, who usually printed for the non-Jewish population of the city. The Hebrew print was founded in Pisa in the late 18th century by Samuel Foa. Before us is one of the early posters in general in Italian Jewry with a Hebrew title and words in the Hebrew language. It is known for a number of leaves published in various places in Italy and dealing with the Jewish population in the 17th and 18th centuries, but Usually without Hebrew words.
