A $100 bill given by the holy hands of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to a Jew living in the city of Vienna, to strengthen the Jewish community, after an attack by Palestinian terrorists on the community's synagogue in Av 29, 1981.

On August 29, 1981, the synagogue of the Vienna community was attacked by Palestinian terrorists from the Abu Nidal organization using machine gun fire and hand grenades while a Bar Mitzvah ceremony was taking place there. In the attack, two people were murdered and thirty were injured, many of them bystanders. The two Palestinian terrorists who carried out the attack were caught and tried. Since the attack, Austrian police forces have been securing the synagogue. The recipient of the bill a resident of the city of Vienna, was at that time in Hityachadut with the Rebbe and asked for his blessing for the recovery of the wounded and the restoration of the community. The Rebbe blessed and gave him the $100 bill to strengthen the community. The Jew converted the bill into a European Euro and kept it for salvation and blessing. (On the back of the banknote, the recipient marked it with a pen so it wouldn't get mixed up with other bills).

Such high-value bills, which were distributed by the Rebbe, are rare and were generally given by the Rebbe to his close associates for Significant activities.

Owner confirmation will be given upon request.

Very good condition.
