The display opens like a book, with Columbus's ship and accompanying ships unfolding when opening. On the front cover, the ship's helm can be moved, showing the route Columbus took on his way to the American continent. On the back, the famous scene of Columbus arriving on land and meeting the indigenous people for the first time is visible, as well as additional scenes from planning his journey to America.
