Magnificent Emissary Letter written privately to Rabbi Yosef Elia David Yosef Ezra from Calcutta - India, by Rabbi David Asudri, to urgently request "great charity" for the Jews of the city of Tiberias in its difficult situation - handsome scribal script and signatures of the great rabbis of Tiberias Rabbi head by the Chacham bashi Rabbi Yosef David Abulafia. 1890s. It is rare to find Emissary Letter such as the one before us that were intended to be delivered to a certain man. They were usually written in general for all the donors by the messenger who visited the whole country to which he was sent.

In their letter, the genius rabbis detail the difficult situation of the city of Tiberias groaning under the yoke of severe taxes, and describe the severe poverty, and ask for a great charity through the Shada'r sent to him privately by Rabbi David Asudri, and bless him in his name: "ויהי ה' את יוסף נצב עליו לשמרו ויהי איש מצליח במרום ההצלחות...".
