Humorous postcards depicting the British soldiers when they came to Eretz Israel and met Eastern culture, in "Mizrahi" scenes of hookah smoking, and alongside oriental characters. On the postcards are printed in English "Greetings from the Holy land" and "Greetings from the middle east"
Noah Bee (Birzovsky) [1916-1992], cartoonist and graphic designer, born in Poland, immigrated to Eretz Israel and later moved to the United States. He designed some of the first banknotes issued in the State of Israel during its early years, and after the establishment of the State of Israel he designed a new version of the "Blue Box" for the JNF. He published cartoons in newspapers in Israel and the United States.
