"In honor of the Tzaddik rabbi, the famous rabbi who pursues charity and kindness in the love of Israel, the crowning of our generation Rabbi Aryeh Levin Shalit'a..." - a letter in the handwriting and signature of Rabbi Menachem Piterman to Rabbi Aryeh Levin after his visit to the Lubavitcher Rebbe. In his letter He describes in detail the interesting meeting he had with the Rebbe, and what the Rebbe said about Rabbi Aryeh Levin. New York, 9/7/1963.

After some personal matters concerning Rabbi Chaim Kulitz of Jerusalem, the writer tells about his visit for Yechidut with the Lubavitcher Rebbe: "Yesterday I was in private with the Honorable Rebbe of Lubavitcher Shlit'a, I told him about everything that was done and heard, especially in my family, after that he talked to me about what was done and heard during this days. He knows every detail of what is happening in our country, and his heart hurts a lot".
He continues that he spoke with the Rebbe about Rabbi Aryeh Levin himself: "And during our conversation I mentioned the name of his honor, Rabbi Shalita, and he asked about his health and well-being, and he said to me in those words: "ער איז דווך ב"ה הרב ר' אריה לוין משפיע און מקושר זו ברייטע קרייזן אין ישראל השי"ת זאל מאונך זאן און מחזן זיין זיינע וארן אין טעג מיט געזונד" [Rabbi Aryeh Levin is the biggest influencer and is connected to the biggest circle in Israel] . Rabbi Menachem ends his letter with his impressions of the visit to the Rebbe: "The Rebbe is a Jew and a Tzaddik when you enter him then you feel like he is in the heart and soul of all who come to him."
