Lechem Yeudah on the Mishne Tora laRamba'm, by Rabbi Yehuda Ayash, Livorno, [1745], first edition.

Rabbi Yehuda Ayash [1688-1760], one of the greatest rabbis of Algeria. Born in Almadier, Algeria, after he Born his parents moved to Algeria. he studied with Rabbi Raphael Tzror the "Pri Tzadik" and was even ordained by him for a Rabbi, and was appointed rabbi and sermon. In 1728 he was appointed rabbi of the city. In 1749, he left to Livorno with his son to come to Eretz Yisrael, where his son printed his book - "Mate Yehuda." In 1752 he arrived with a group of his students in Jerusalem and joined the Midrash Knesset Israel .On his way to Jerusalem, he met the Holy Orach Hayim, and even gave approbation to his book. Author of: "Kol Yehuda" on the Torah, "Mateh Yehuda", "Shevet Yehuda", "Beit Yehuda" Responsa and the gathering of Algerian customs. Among the givers approbations to his books the genius Rabbi Yonatan Eiveshitz.
