Michael Jordan against Larry Bird, a photograph signed by Jordan with Certificate of Authenticity no. A 16945 by the AAA. Michael Jordon [b. 1963] was the best player in the history of basketball. Jordan joined the Chicago Blues in 1984, and with in a short time became one of the most prominent stars in the best league in the world. His exceptional jumping ability earned him the nickname "Air Jordan." He has won numerous titles as a player: He won the NBA championship six times while wearing the Chicago Blues uniform, and twice the Olympic gold medal in the U. S. national team uniform. He won the title NBA MVP of the regular season twice, ten times member of the team of the season, nine times member of the defensive team of the season, 14 times participation in all-star games, three steals titles, six MVP of the finals, and defensive player of the year for 1988. In addition, Jordan holds the record for highest career regular season scoring average in the NBA. In 2015, in light of his exceptional achievements and contribution to basketball, Jordan joined the FIBA hall of fame, and in 2016 U. S. president Barack Obama gave him the presidential medal of freedom, the nation's highest honor.

Larry Bird [b. 1956] was a Boston Celtics player for 13 years until his retirement in 1992. In 1996 he was selected as one of the 50 greatest players in the history of the NBA. Over his magnificent career as a player, he led his team to three NBA championships in the 1980s, while earning numerous titles: MVP of the regular season three years in a row, twice MVP of the finals, once rookie of the year and once MVP of the all-star game. Over the course of his career, he was selected nine times in a row as a member of the team of the year, and selected to play in 12 all-star games. He also won the NBA trio competition in its first three years (1986-1988). At the start of the 1986 basketball season, Jordan broke his leg and was forced to miss most league matches. Despite his absence, the Bulls managed to get into the playoffs and were drawn to play against the Boston Celtics. Jordan recovered, participated in the games, excelled in them, averaging 43.7 points per game. His second game in the series was the best, and Jordan set it to a record high that still stands for a single player in a playoff game with 63 points. After the game, the Celtics star Larry Bird said, "I think we saw G-o-d today disguised as Michael Jordan." However, the Bulls lost all games to the more experienced Celtics players and were eliminated from the playoffs. The Celtics continued to the next stage and eventually won the championship.
