Dansk Familie Blad - Danish family magazine - June 1, 1945 - Copenhagen, Denmark. An impressive title page showing a Danish girl sweeping away the remains of the last Nazi terror soldiers in the form of monkeys with swastika armbands, and the caption: "Mor Danmark Fejer ud" - "Mother Denmark sweeps out" and in the background a map of Denmark and the date May 5 - the day of Denmark's liberation from Nazi occupation by the British Army - a holiday celebrated to this day under the name "Befrielsen" (The Liberation).

The inside pages of the issue feature victory articles - a quote from Sigfred Pedersen's speech: "The fifth of May has risen - the worst tyranny in the world has been blown up... For every one that fell, twenty new ones arose... Our country is small, our forces are weak, but we have shown our will and our courage... Our country is free!". There is an extensive historical review from the day of the Nazi invasion of Denmark, the closure of the Danish press, and the heavy censorship imposed on the American press that reached Denmark "We received issues in which more than three quarters of the total number of pages were missing!...". There is a long article describing the victory celebrations and the outburst of joy in the streets of Denmark with laughter mixed with tears: "In the big cities, people gathered in the large public squares to celebrate the event. Everywhere in Denmark there is a main street, no matter how small the building, everywhere there is a place where people gather... It was as if a new era was born the moment the wonderful announcement was heard from the loudspeaker... The lights were turned on in all the windows... Mother Denmark swept her main street...". The article is accompanied by a photo of British soldiers marching through the streets of Denmark. The issue also includes comic stories, Donald Duck, and more.

The issue was printed during a severe paper shortage in Denmark after the war. The editors write at the beginning of the issue: "Today, when there are thousands of topics to cover , when we have so much to tell our readers, we don't have enough paper... We will have to make do with the far too few pages at our disposal: but we will try to use them to the best of our ability. We hope that the rationing will soon be eased so that we can get our old number of pages...".

24 p. Complete issue. Minor tears at the top of the title page. Good condition.
