"After of the week of mourning" - a fierce underground poster by the Lehi organization published in the month of March 1945 after the week of mourning for the destruction of European Jewry. March 1945.
After the week of mourning for the masses of Jews who perished, the proclamation comes to settle accounts with the guilty: "Where is the root of the disaster, why were millions abandoned to slaughter and murder?" and determines that the reason for the mass murder is the abandonment of the homeland in the hands of foreign enslavers who did not gather the nation's people in advance. "... together with Nazi Germany, “democratic” England is guilty of mass murder, it stood by while tens of thousands were led in death trains, to burning and suffocation, and worse: those who managed to escape from the slaughter and reach the shores of the homeland it expelled back to sea to the place of murder. England is guilty not only of the murder of the seven hundred Ma'apilim of the “Struma”. Its hands are stained with the blood of thousands, tens of thousands, and hundreds...".
After the Lehi organization accuses England of being a partner in the mass murder committed by the Nazis by closing the gates of the country, it calls on the Hebrew people in their homeland to take action and join the war for the independence of the people of Israel in their land: "In our hands, in the hands of the Hebrew people in the homeland, fate has cast not only the future of the survivors, but the future of all the coming generations. For only in a free homeland is the guarantee that the masses of the people will no longer be in danger of slaughter and extermination. And the freedom of the homeland can only be achieved in the nation's war against the enslaver, against the foreign ruler, who tramples our honor, robs our property, abandons the lives of our brothers... Let the entire Hebrew people be drafted for the war of liberation...".
