* Shviley David on the Torah - moral to be saved from the evils of the Yetzer HaRah. By Rabbi David Yehuda Zilberstein. Jerusalem 1863, BK printing press. At the end, the author added, "A Call Against the Spirit of Time" saying things against the changes in synagogue customs. On the title page is a painting of the Western Wall and a decorated black frame. S. Halevi, The First Books of Jerusalem 84. [1] 31 leaves, 22.5 cm. Not bound. good - very good condition.

The title page before us is different from the title page that appears in S. Halevi and in Winograd - Rosenfeld Record 62803 - The name of the book appears there: "Shvili David and Yehuda". 100 Page. 32 cm. Very good condition.

The author, one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary, studied at the yeshiva of R. Meir Esh in Ungvar, and at the yeshiva of Rabbi Kopel Harif in Warboy, was a dayan in Oihel (= Erloi). Immigrated to Jerusalem, and lived there until his death in 1874.
