Friedrich Wilhelm [1859-1941] known by his royal name Wilhelm II, the last ruler of the Huhenzollern House who served as Emperor of Germany and King of Prussia. Wilhelm ruled from 1888 to 1918.
In the history of Israel, Wilhelm became known for considering Benjamin Ze'ev Herzl and the Zionist movement at the outset, but eventually avoided it. Most notably, he was famous for his visit Eretz Israel in 1898, which was a landmark in the history of Eretz Israel during the Ottoman period, during this visit he met with Herzl, who came to Eretz Israel specifically for this meeting, but afterwards was disappointed by its results.
