Albumen Photo - A group of girls from a Jewish school in Tunis in traditional clothes.
The girls are dressed in luxurious clothes which reveals the fact that they came from wealthy homes, and a pointed headdress typical of Jewish Tunisian women (even the unmarried). The photograph before us was later published in Jewish postcards distributed in Tunisia at the beginning of the 20th century in which this group of girls is seen, and the caption: "ecole juive" - "Jewish school" (see Dynasty Auction No. 1, item 109).
