A Happy New Year leaf opens - printed in gold ink. Germany, early 20th century.

In the center is a Star of David surrounded by a circle and the caption 'Zion', to the right an angel announcing the redemption blowing a trumpet, and the caption: 'Grow us our salvation soon', on the left, an angel holding corn [hints to the ground work], and the caption: 'Raise the fund of Israel'. At the top of the page are a pair of angels, a Star of David and the caption: "Our Father Our king." Happy New Year's greetings include a blessing to return to Zion and redeem from the troubles of exile appear in three languages: German, English and Yiddish.

Empty handwritten fill lines were left in the inner opened. Rarely, do not appear in "Blue and White in Colors" the visual imagery of Zionism, and not in the literature dealing with the early "good years".
