LE MAGAZINE DE LA FRANCE-CRIMES NAZIS - A special edition of the 'LE MAGAZINE DE LA FRANCE'. It came out in May 1945 immediately after the end of World War II, and brought to the French people for the first time in photographs, graphs, and articles the atrocities of Nazi crimes against the Jews during the war years. On the cover is a photograph by Eric Schwab. (The Jew photographed on the cover died a few hours after the photo was taken). Extremely rare.
In the magazine: many photographs of thin survivors as found in the camps by Allied forces, a chilling photograph of the Nazi party convention in Nuremberg and a page corresponding the results of Nazi tyranny in the form of corpses, a map describing the number of murders by the Nazis in continental Europe by division to countries, A special article accompanied by photographs from within the Buchenwald death camp, portrait articles about the Nazi war criminals, letters from the leaders of the French resistance, among them: Pierre-Henri Teigen, Augustine Beado, Jacques Sostel, and Henri-Farnie Sandoval, and more.
