A statement issued to the family of Zvi Richman, who fell during the War of Independence signed by Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. 3/27/1948 Ink on parchment - sofer nice writing, and the signature of Ben-Gurion.

Private Zvi Richman, born in August 1930, fell in battle with a convoy to Jerusalem in Nabi Daniel. During the war he was among the defenders of Ramat Rachel. Active in escorting convoys on the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem road, and in ambushes along this road. Participated in various sabotage operations, including the Battle of Sha'ar HaGai. Zvi accompanied the convoy to Kfar Etzion, which left on Adar 2, 1948, when the convoy made its way back to Jerusalem, it was attacked. At the checkpoint near Nabi-Daniel, a fierce battle ensued and Zvi served as a machine gun, was hit in the chest, but did not leave the machine gun - the machine gun was stopped and he calmly repaired it. After standing heroically for hours, the three healthy warriors came out of the armored car, leaving as he stood guard in a strong wind. A bullet in his chest, the machine gun in his hands, and he reaps at the enemy. He was 17 when he died.
