The first synagogue of Alexandria in Egypt, and biblical scenes - Large lithograph with multiple hand colored illustrations. [New York, late 19th century]

The center depicts the interior of "The Synagogue of Alexandria in Egypt", to its right is an exterior view of the synagogue. Above, a pair of lions and a Torah crown. Surrounding it are biblical scenes associated with Egypt - Pharaoh's daughter and Moses by the Nile, the Exodus from Egypt, the Tabernacle, and more. Among them is a scene of Antiochus and the Hanukkah miracle. Along the margins are illustrations of the tribes and kings of Israel.

70x57 cm. Mounted on hard subtrate for display and preservation. Condition good - very good.
